🗿The most relaxing and magical moments on Easte

🗿The most relaxing and magical moments on Easter Island were when everyone gathered at Ahu Tahai to watch the sunset each night. Once the sun set behind the moai statues into the ocean, everyone would clap in unison. What was especially wonderful was how much space there was for everyone to sprawl out (especially having been in the insane and claustrophobic crowd at Christ the Redeemer a couple weeks earlier).

Huge plus that our hotel was just down the road from this spot!

This is a must if you visit Rapa Nui. The ultimate moment of peace and tranquility on the island.

🇧🇷 I am so grateful and fortunate that I got

🇧🇷 I am so grateful and fortunate that I got to go to São Paulo for work. While I only had an evening to explore the vast city, I really loved the two cultural centers/exhibits we visited, the unbelievable food, and the city made for an incredibly fun backdrop to host our third summit of the year. Dancing with the vivacious samba ladies at our opening event was definitely memorable (fourth to last slide).

🧳 HIGHLIGHTS FROM SÃO PAULO:
✅ Itau Cultural Center’s art and history exhibits. Their natural history exhibit is not only fascinating, but really beautiful. This museum is shockingly free!
✅ The Japanese food! The city has the largest population of Japanese people outside of Japan so it’s no surprise that Japanese food is everywhere here. I loved OGURU, where they offer an all-you-can-eat experience they say is “the best for you, every time.” This fittingly became my team’s slogan throughout the trip.
✅ Trying Amazonian food for the first time at Banzeiro, which introduced flavors and combinations to me I’d never had before. For instance, we ate huge ants! It left a numbing sensation in our mouths (but not in a bad way).
✅ Our Google Product Experts Summit at Google, Hilton Canopy, and Sky Terrace Bar. Tooting our own horn here to say our parties are a hoot!
✅ Japan House’s exhibits on Japanese fashion and street style. This museum is also free! Additionally, it offers a dessert cafe, restaurant, and gift shop.

🇨🇱 Out of the four countries we visited on this South America trip, Chile is the one I’m most excited to eventually return to. I really feel like we just got a small taste, and I can’t wait to explore more of its surreal landscapes and breathtaking national parks (and have more of the wine).

🧳 HIGHLIGHTS FROM SANTIAGO & VALPARAÍSO, CHILE:
✅ Free walking tour around the Centro (lookup Strawberry Tours or UrbanTours online) where we ended up at Santa Lucia Hill, which offers 365 degree views of the city.
✅ Exploring the UNESCO World Heritage City of Valparaiso and its plethora of colorful hillside buildings and murals. And then wine tasting in Casablanca Valley afterwards.
✅ Hiking up San Cristóbal Hill to the grand Virgin Mary statue and taking in the sweeping views of the Santiago landscape.

🇧🇷 From chilly days in Buenos Aires to hot hot Rio! Have you ever traveled between cities that were drastically different temperatures? We went from wanting to layer as much as possible to wanting as little on as possible 😂🥵

🧳 HIGHLIGHTS FROM RIO, BRAZIL:
✅ Rio’s Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful and interesting ones I’ve been to.
✅ I feel like Christ the Redeemer is a must, but just know you’ll be shoulder to shoulder with all the other tourists. It felt like a zoo here. Doubly so because of the awesome wildlife sightings! My favorite part of our visit was actually the monkeys.
✅ Views of the city from Sugar Loaf Mountain.
✅ Eating as many açaí bowls as possible and all the other delicious food. Food and drink recs: Tapí Tapioca, NOSSO, LIZ Cocktails & Co.
✅ Watching the sun set behind the mountains from Ipanema Beach.

🇦🇷 We may have gotten to Buenos Aires a whol

🇦🇷 We may have gotten to Buenos Aires a whole day late due to a missed connection, but we made the most out of the time we had there! Despite it being chilly and overcast during our two day stay, the vibrant colors and beautiful murals still brought the city to life.

🧳 BUENOS AIRES HIGHLIGHTS:
✅ Admiring the rainbow colored buildings along Caminito in La Boca and finding all its hidden little colorful shops. Yes that is an empanada window in the first pic!
✅ Feeling like we were in Japan or South Korea in Pasaje Echeverría (a covered car-free street in Chinatown) where the street is lined with Asian shops and eateries.
✅ Walking around Palermo SoHo (where we stayed) and discovering all the alleyway murals.
✅ Walking around Mercado San Telmo and settling on a delicious choripan from Choripaneria.
✅ Drinking underground at one of the World’s Top 50 Bars (Floreria Atlantico), which is a speakeasy disguised as a flower shop.

Jumped at the chance to get a trendy looking teen

Jumped at the chance to get a trendy looking teen to take my photo during solo travel. This was my very last day on the three-week Eurotrip, and I was exhausted, hot, and almost ate sh*t at the slippery and congested Acropolis, but 25k+ steps around town was so worth it!

🎟️ If you plan to visit the Acropolis and surrounding historical sights: Be sure to buy the Athena’s Combined Ticket ahead of time, which gets you into 7 different historical Athens sites for €30. You’ll also have to sign up for an entry time for the Acropolis (the morning times get booked up first!). Arrive at least 30 minutes before your entry time (the line is pretty intense). The Acropolis does not take walk-ins or same day reservations.

The solo leg of my Eurotrip brought me to the stun

The solo leg of my Eurotrip brought me to the stunning Greek island of Rhodes (located right off the coast of Türkiye). I stayed within the walls of its medieval old town, which was a really unique experience. I loved walking through its narrow and arched cobblestone alleyways and stumbling upon its picturesque restaurants and charming shops.

Keep scrolling to see the incredible ruins of the Church of the Virgin Mary of the Burgh. Only two halves of the church remain standing.

A few Rhodes highlights:
🇬🇷 Dining at what people have touted “the best restaurant on Rhodes”, Marco Polo Restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere are a notch above. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time.
🇬🇷 Dining at Nireas and Lakani (I couldn’t get enough of the seafood on this island).
🇬🇷 Trekking all the way up to the Acropolis, up to Stephen’s hill, then back down to the beach, and finally back to the walled city.
🇬🇷 Just walking endlessly around old town.

I can’t recommend this island enough if you’re wondering which islands to hit up!

One of my favorite things about solo travel in Ath

One of my favorite things about solo travel in Athens was spying other female solo travelers taking selfies and asking them if they’d like me to take their photo. After learning a little bit about their solo journey, I would ask if they would be so kind to return the favor 😄

Located just below the Acropolis are the charming alleyways and nooks of Anafiotika, a tiny neighborhood featuring adorable homes inside the historical and colorful neighborhood of Plaka. I loved wandering around these parts and discovering new corners and artworks (I think I looped around about three times to make sure I didn’t miss anything).

“YOU IS A CRAZY!” is what the very sweet Greek

“YOU IS A CRAZY!” is what the very sweet Greek grandma who owns the Airbnb we stayed at exclaimed when we told her we were going to this beach club. She thought the 15€ day beds were way too steep 😂

After nonstop walking on the first leg of our annual reunion trip in Prague, our beach club day on Corfu felt like a dream (and very much worth that 15€ each 😝). We stayed in the small scenic town of Paleokastritsa, which was the perfect setting away from the craziness of summer tourism.
